Healthy Holiday Tips

The holidays are here again. Many of us struggle to get to all the added events and to get the extra work done each day. It is a busy season. Practicing quiet moments is very important for our health. We also tend to eat a lot of treats at this time of year that can make us tired and compromise our immune system. There are so many ways to keep the holidays healthy for you and your family. Here are just a few of my suggestions for this time of year.


  1. Get adequate sleep
  2. Drink water and avoid empty liquid calories
  3. Try to attend a yoga class or any exercise that relaxes you
  4. Keep sugary treats to a minimum
  5. Meal planning each week is important
  6. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables
  7. Take an hour each week to plan for success in the coming week
  8. Practice moments of silence to stay calm and thankful
