Deck the House with Fruits and Veggies!
This last two weeks of the year can be so fun and full of parties and holiday treats. When you are shopping for your holiday meals make sure to include lots of fresh produce. Fill your cart with fruits and vegetables you know you and your family will eat. Be the guest that brings a fruit or veggie tray. Fill your plate at the parties with half fruits and vegetables. Here is a quick list from a few registered dietitians to help you stay on track and have that holiday grit to eat well even when there are so many temptations around. The way to avoid weight gain at this time of year is to eat as plant based a diet as you can most of the time with minimally processed foods along with a few hours of much needed exercise!
